I’m moving out in three weeks.

Landlord gave me eight weeks notice ( tenancy had ran out and he is selling)

I’m ridiculously busy with my business , trying to help my nan get in to assisted living. Two school kids.

BUT I’ve been very lucky and managed to get somewhere else immediately- only got given notice on Saturday.

So some one help me get together a plan. I’ve never moved on my own before ( separated from ex husband) I will hire a van and I’ve got help moving

Im currently in a three level town house - full of clutter, big beds and garage full of crap. Going in to a small apartment ( it’s only for 12 months while my divorce settlement comes through)

Any help appreciated 🙏🏻

Great news that you've found somewhere OP.

My best advice (I've moved house 15 times) is to declutter like crazy before you go. Spend as much time as possible getting rid of things you don't need because it's bloody hard work to pack and move things only to get rid of them at the new house.

Get boxes. Often advertised on local social media...people who've moved offer them free to collector or you could post up that you want them. Put all the stuff you can into boxes and label the boxes. Keep one box specifically for things you'll need during the move - kettle, loo roll, wine, torch etc and keep that with you.

Hire the biggest van you feel safe driving. Fewer trips and stuff going into the van easily will make your life much easier on the day.

Shop around for vans - prices vary hugely.

Good luck to you and your kids with the move and hope all goes well for your Nan.

Good luck OP, that sounds a nightmare.

Definitely start decluttering as much as you can rather than wait until afterwards. Since you are downsizing by a lot can you rent a small storage unit for some of the bits until your divorce is through? That way a lot of it can be moved before the actual move, making it easier on the day.
