How frequently do you wash your hands?

I got back from taking to the GP this morning, having touched all the surfaces, handles in there etc. I totally forgot to wash my hands and have since made snacks and put our washing away and the likes. I was thinking back to COVID times when I would always use hand sanitiser religiously but don’t really do that anymore. Was it too lax of me to not wash hands having come back from the doctors? I’m hoping they don’t get sick!

I wash my hands once a year, whether they need it or not.

Every thing you touch outside the home has been touched by many others.

So their disgusting germs are on there...poo...urine...snot...sweat etc.

Most people touch their face, mouth, eyes without realising.

I always wash my hands when I get home.

Obviously after toilet or before food prep and eating.

Also, before and after a gym session and after gardening. When I walk in my front door, put shopping down, shoes off and wash hands before anything else.

as and when required
when i've touched money, handles outside

after w/c
I also use an anti bacterial gel

I'm especially careful in places like the GP and in the work toilets. Also at gym class when we're all over the floor. At home, I wash my hands after the loo, before cooking/eating, and after doing the bins. I have old Covid sanitisers in most bags so they're to hand when I'm out if I touch anything grubby (public transport).

When I come in the front door after being out before putting the kettle on, before I cook, during cooking if I'm touching meat or fish, after I go to the loo, after feeding or playing with pets, or being in the garden or rooting around in the garage etc.
Out and about have hand gel in the car, and in my hand bag. This has been standard all my life, and would say it was pretty basic hygeine, other than hand gel which is probably a pandemic hangover as I've got it hanging around now.

Don't panic, you'll be fine.

Very frequently
I have a dog and always wash when back from a public place, including supermarket
No idea if it's due to this but I have never had D&V and can't remember the last cold I had

On a normal day, after I've been to the toilet or touched raw meat. Apart from that, I don't.

Probably not too smart as I'm immunosuppressed, but nothing fatal has happened yet.

Honestly, hardly ever. After the loo, before I cook, if they are visibly dirty.

This. I've made it to mid-50's without catching any nasties.
