How does flexi-school work

Reading this Cash Strapped Primary School Launches flexi-schooling but there is no explanation as to how it works. Do parents have to arrange set days for their children to attend (eg school every Tuesday and Thursday)? What happens if units of work carry over from the previous day/week? How would the teachers manage this?

Usually if a school offers flexischooling like this it will have say 3 core days that all pupils have to be in, and then flexi for either home ed or school on the other two days.

Where schools allow flexi on a case by case basis it depends on the agreement between the Head and the parents - a child might attend mornings only or on particular days, or just for particular subjects, there might be an agreement that the parent will cover 'missed work' at home or there might not.

That’s interesting about the core days. Does flexi school not create additional work for the teachers? Even if parents agree to teach what’s missed, would there not be teacher time needed to prepare and brief the work?
