With half a term left? I’m thinking I’ll just buy new ones. Cheap shoes not an option unfortunately.

@Dollenganger333 It’s because my dd has very high insteps so I find buying cheap shoes is never an option - my DD had exactly the same issue, but I never had to ask for advice on whether or not to buy her new shoes

I don’t have to ask your permission about what I start a thread about on MN and if you can’t be nice then don’t post(!)

When this happened to us I bought very cheap ones from Asda or cheap plain black trainers. Wouldn't have spent out on Clark's for 6 weeks or so .

I remember my mum used to cut the toes out of shoes so they didn’t hurt my feet, rather than buy me a new pair. It seemed to be quite common back in the day…..

curlycurlymoo · 03/06/2024 21:18

This has happened to me. I got new ones.

Quite worrying that some people are ok with making their kids wear shoes that don't fit.
They need new shoes, buy them shoes. If you can't afford new, get second hand.

DD has same issue. Got some new ones from Deichmann for £15. Half size too big so hoping for some wear in September!
