I'm just having my cuppa and breakfast, after a lovely long sleep following our night & day in York. I can hear dd2 moving about upstairs so expect she'll come and join me at some point but for now I'm enjoying the quiet.

We have nothing much planned for today - I'll tidy round the kitchen shortly ish then carry on with some crafting, or bracelets for our Eras Tour night...14 days 🎵🎙💃! I am so excited. Dd2 will probably join me. Dd1 was at work until late on last night so she'll probably sleep late & watch Suits.

Left over Chinese for tea, followed by an early shower & get sorted for Monday, an hour in front of the tv, then early night for me. Dd2 usually goes at the same time on a Sunday, and dd1 not long after 💤

What about all of you? 🙂

Pop round to the in laws, who've just moved to Birmingham so now a 20 min drive vs an hour!

May do some gardening, although we've recently got a new extension so our garden is looking very small and unloved.

Crack on with some tummy time for DD who is 6 months and refusing any sort of time on her mat! She'll be crawling by 4 at this stage.

Currently sitting in the morning sun having finished a toasted bagel and a cuppa.
Plan to do some weeding and pottering in the garden while OH mows the lawn.
Later on we will power up the fridge in the motorhome and load up ready for our trip away tomorrow.

Hello lucysmam and everyone.

It's a glorious day here (finally. Half term week has been wet, grey and cold) so we've rushed through all the chores and we're just about to head out for a canal walk / picnic / splash park. I imagine everyone will have the same idea but we'll find a shady spot somewhere and just make the most of being able to eat outside (we had a picnic in the rain / wind on Friday)

We have homemade meatballs and sauce with spaghetti, salad and garlic bread for dinner and then I'll let the older kids have an hour in the park across the road before we do Sunday night baths (we're practicing independence for the older two so currently letting them go to the little swing park / community garden nearby for an hour - they did an hour this morning too)

We are having a rare lazy day today with just a bit of housework thrown in. Both me and DH are now on annual leave for a week and we are determined to relax. I am half way through the Lego hocus pocus set and we have sat in our garden reading in the sunshine. Both are children are happy doing their own thing. I will probably go for a walk later to get some steps in but that's about it planned for today.

Good afternoon, @lucysmam! I hope you're day is going smoothly.

It's been a very chilled one here. DD and I went to watch her friend in a musical last night, so reasonably late getting home. DH and I had bacon bagels in bed, then stripped the bedding for the wash. He has since cleaned the bathroom, finished the dishes and popped a wash on ready to dry on the line.

I am drinking Coke and trying to find some birthday gifts for DH, who has become incredibly hard to buy for. It's his 40th this month though, so it needs to be not crap!

Once the washing is out, we are taking Ddog, DS2 and DD to the woods for a walk and a play. Maybe an ice cream as a bribe after! DS1 is stil festering in bed, but I'm going to leave him be as he's back at GCSEs tomorrow and needs the rest. He had a serious injury on the last day of term, so we need to see what emergency access arrangements we can get in place for him tomorrow, if any! He's going to really struggle to actually write for long enough, as it's his dominant wrist that he's hurt.

BGT final, pulled pork baps and a bath this evening. Kids and I (teacher) back to school tomorrow so we'll have to re-pack P.E kits, sort lunches etc this evening too. I quite like doing it the first time back. I won't for the rest of the half term! 😆
