How to sell clothes?!

Tried eBay and been on vinted for a while but I'm finding unless things are under £5 they don't sell!
I've had a brand new Stradivarius cot on there for months and even tho it's now only £6 it's still had zero interest.
I have a full wardrobe full of stuff not selling and I want to get rid now but gutted to have to give things away that are really lovely.
How else could I get some much needed funds from mainly new clothes?

Put simply, you can't. If people aren't willing to pay what you're asking then you either drop the price or don't sell them. There are a lot more people selling things on now so more choice.

I think you need to be realistic with your pricing. Designer stuff you can ask more for, but if you really need the extra money its best to keep your prices as low as possible, or accept lower offers from buyers

I pay a lot more than £5 for most things on Vinted. Make sure you have things marked as very good condition (if they are!) as lots of people will filter on that. And list things based on the price that similar things are being listed for (eg the cot sounds very cheap - but also not easy to post!!)

No advice really, but it could just be a bad time for it. Saturated market, no money around, fewer people going out to work. I stopped trying to sell clothes (I used eBay) a while ago. During the pandemic I couldn’t list fast enough, lots of normal clothes for about £50 and even slightly worn boutique brands at almost full price (£300+) were selling within days, I had some fantastic feedback and I did really well at getting rid of a lot of old stuff so I could buy some new clothes.

I didn’t have much left to sell by then but once lockdowns were definitely over people just stopped buying. Any sales I made went wrong (buyers complaining, leaving peevish feedback and trying to get free stuff in various ways) and I was getting offers so low they were laughable. In the end I closed my account I was so sick of it.

I’ve never used Vinted but I gather its for getting stuff, even high end stuff, for £2-3 a piece? As a seller this doesn’t sound worth it to me.

I sell things vey cheaply on Vinted. I just accepted that i had already spent the money and if someone might enjoy my clothes they might as well have them at a cheap price. I wasn't going to wear them again. If i didn't sell them then they would go to the charity shop and i would get nothing. Once I accepted this mindset i was happy for them to go cheaply.

Do you mean a Stradivarius coat?

If so its the wrong time of year. Try again in early September.

Make sure your photos are decent and give a rough idea of the length etc. (especially for coats and dresses)

it's one difference I've noticed with eBay vs vinted, eBay listings typically have about 5 photos of the garment - front, back, label, pattern detail etc whereas lots of things on vinted just have one badly lit pic of the item hung lopsided on the back of a door.
