Dairy free parents help!

I’m doing my DS 5th birthday party and we have a child that is dairy free. I’m trying to make the majority of the birthday tea dairy free so they can eat it without feeling left out.

Does anyone know if pom bears are dairy free? Ingredients say yes but it doesn’t say suitable for vegans only vegetarians. Also any recommended dairy free spread for sandwiches? I was going to use it on all the sandwiches so they were suitable - and make sure the bread is also df. They eat meat so plan was for ham sandwiches with df spread.

Thanks for any help!

Oreos and party rings are dairy free

Pom Bears are dairy free.

Flora Buttery is the best dairy free spread (that I've tried)

Pom bears are fine - my son has a dairy allergy and he has them. We use Flora Buttery, but there are a lot of good plant based spreads out there. Cakes can also be made dairy free using stork/alternative (just check ingredients but most are OK). Lots of biscuits are dairy free as well - especially the cheaper ones! Party rings, oreos, jammy dodgers etc..

We use vitalite dairy free spread-the green one. Please check the ham you are going to use as some ham contains dairy proteins.
Also from a mother of a dairy allergy kid, thank you for taking the time to include this child, and make sure they can join in with the rest of the kids. So many times I've had to make up a plate and bring it with me because otherwise ds wouldn't have been able to eat.💐

Mayo is often dairy free.

Thank you so much to everyone for taking the time to give tips. I will check the ham - that’s a good point and one I hadn’t thought of.

The biscuits I’ve bought are Oreos, party rings and jammie dodgers so am really happy to read on a previous post these were recommended - I had researched so a big relief these were the right call.

Thanks @ayvasili for your comment - I think there’s so many alternative options now, it’s much nicer if you can do group platters all the kids can have without dietary restrictions being flagged as a special plate etc.

For the cake, I’m putting it in party bags but was going to get the vegan fairy cakes and parcel them into the child’s bag as the main cake will have butter etc in it. Hopefully as it’s in the bag it won’t be too obvious.

Thanks again everyone.
