Good Morning All! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, watching the rain outside & deciding what to do with the day.

I think I'll stick the rhinestones on another t-shirt for Eras and list a few things on Vinted. Hopefully bump up our total for Eras merch when we go.

I'll have a quick tidy round now, before I do that though, try and make the kitchen more presentable.

I've no idea what the girls are planning to do - probably more "Suits" for dd1, and dd2 was working through her homework yesterday so I expect she'll finish that.

Roast chicken for tea, with roast spuds & cauli cheese 😋 followed by an early shower and probably an early night for me. I think I fancy a self-care shower - face mask/hair mask/shave etc - try and pick myself up a bit.

What about you all? 🙂

Good morning 😁

Just got back from a long leisurely dog walk, going to make eggs benny for brunch then daughter and husband are off out to do whatever it is they do together on a Sunday.

I'm going to relax and finish my book.

My dad presented us with a trout this morning so I'm going to do something with that for tea.

That's it, nice lazy day!

@JMAngel1 what is a lifting face mask? I'm aiming for waking up a goddess too 🤣 suspect I will be disappointed 🤷‍♀️

DH has gone to some motor racing event (I declined his invitation to join him, not my thing) and won't be back until this evening, so I've got the day all to myself. So far, I have drunk two cups of coffee, cleaned the filter of my Shark hand-held vacuum cleaner, and stood in the garden looking at all the stuff that needs doing out there. It's too wet after last night's rain so I will have to leave that I think, and do some decluttering indoors instead.

Good morning @lucysmam.

Another day of being stuck in bed. I foolishly thought I felt well enough yesterday afternoon to go and watch dd ride, and I've been paying for it ever since. I never knew concussion could be so incredibly unpleasant Sad.

DD is off to her dads in a bit, DH is downstairs making brunch, I will mostly be dozing and being fed up!

Sunnnybunny72 · 26/05/2024 11:42

Just done the shopping, visiting MIL then going to watch Man City's league cup parade in the rain.

JMAngel1 · 26/05/2024 12:42

@lucysmam
It’s just a face mask called My Perfect Facial - it’s a powder and a gel that are mixed together and it tightens the skin quite painfully whilst it’s on. Leave on for 15 mins and rinse off. It definitely lifts my jawline for a good couple of days after I’ve used it so I just use it for special occasions as quite spendy and painful!

Interesting! My usual is from Lush but can't say I see any lasting effects from it 🤷‍♀️

I'm just back from picking up essential supplies (magazines, sweets, cocktails in cans) for a verrrrrry long coach journey tomorrow. Can't wait though - it's my and my friend's annual trip to Liverpool!

Arlanymor · 26/05/2024 12:47

It's glorious here (sorry - it will probably be throwing it down by tea time!) so as soon as I put away the supermarket shop that has arrived I am going for a mooch around the monthly Sunday market. Later I am going to finish rearranging the kitchen, do the hoovering and then sort out some batch cooking for the week ahead. I am not in work tomorrow but need to do some work regardless, so trying to get a bit of an early start on the week.

Having cycled 155 miles “around” Lake Garda (which was a challenge for me), I’m taking a break and sitting by a hotel pool enjoying some glorious weather. My DD is currently travelling around Australia and had a minor accident yesterday that has scared the life out of me -so I’ve spent the morning on the phone chatting with her.

DaffydownClock · 26/05/2024 14:15

Good afternoon, rather late today.
I’m sitting in my armchair being squished by DDog who’s terrified of thunderstorms and gunshots - it’s shooting club on the airfield next to us and we’ve just had a torrential thunderstorm with thunder and lightning so she’s laying on me with her head shoved under my right armpit 🙄😍
DH took her for a long walk this morning while I cleaned the house through and did two loads of washing. I will take her out again later.
I also spent an hour going through all my stitch markers and bits - I have far too many yet I can never find some when I need them!
The sun’s come out now but more storms are forecast for this afternoon.
I want to get on with my next pair of socks so a couple of hours knitting while listening to podcasts I think.

155 miles!!!
Goodness me - well done!
aww I love Lake Garda - especially Peschiera and Sirmione. Are you down at that end?

Dh is working away atm so I'm just chilling out watching the championship playoff final having just finished my mini binge of Mr Bates vs The Post Office. Putting on dishwasher and a laundry wash at intervals.

Adult ds is asleep and adult dd has just come back from the shops,

Have no cooking or food related shopping or tidying up later as ds birthday tomorrow and we're going into central London for drinks and dinner later.

Just thinking of putting the coffee machine on. ☕️

@FlorencenotRatchet depending on budget and whether you want to be in Harrogate centre or not, Rudding Park is amazing but on the outskirts but the Majestic is in the city centre and also lovely!

If you want any ideas of things, Harlow care is lovely and you can walk from valley gardens in Harrogate centre to HC and there's also a Betty's there. There's also a lovely ice cream place and crazy golf in valley gardens.

Also love cafe lago di combo which does lovely freshly made Italian food.

Brimham rocks isn't that far if you want a walk and a climb with some amazing views.

Thanks for the recommendations. We are actually coming to do Parkrun so will be a quick whistle stop tour on the Friday afternoon. Parkrun in the morning- Betty's for afternoon tea and then back home.
