Is this a bad idea..

I have a 1 yo (who obviously needs to be in the pram) and a 3 yo who hates walking for too long.

Well, I suppose it isn’t that he hates walking, it’s that he has the tendency to be quite difficult when out and about and will stop walking/following me where I need to go, just to play up! He doesn’t just walk nicely, or at least for very long. He will want to ‘help’ push the pram etc and it’s all very stressful!

He doesn’t like the buggy board, he chooses his scooter over the buggy board but that is equally as stressful - he is quite good on it but trying to explain that he cannot take it into supermarkets is a pain and he throws a strop.

My point is, i’m getting tired and fed up of failed trips out because of him being unable to walk nicely for more than 5 mins! Therefore, I was thinking of buying a cheapie double buggy/second hand. I am worried though that this will make him lazy. I’d probably use it for day trips, longer trips into town etc. He is a big boy so does look a little odd/embarrassing with him sat in a pram but it would make life so much easier (and quicker).

Is it a bad idea? Is it worth it? Will it make him lazy?

Three is still very young. It's a good idea. Who cares how it looks, not his fault he's tall!

This is fine I think. Safety first. Mine were similar ages and I still used the double even when they were 2 and 4. Ignore what people might think they are the ones likely to drive everywhere anyway

It won't make him lazy don't worry

@BurbageBrook I know - he got in the pram a few weeks ago and I had 1yo in the carrier but I find it BACKBREAKING! I got a comment from a lady saying how he ‘shouldn’t be in that’ and I was so embarrassed! I have to admit, it does look a bit silly but he looks about 5yo so that’s probably why!

Just take him out in the pram you have now for your 1yo for the day. He will probably hate feeling restrained
