Cheaper food shop

Specialneedsnana · 19/05/2024 20:27

I spend around 170 a week on a food shop. For family of 5 plus pets.

At the moment I shop at morrisons with home delivery.

If I was to shop at aldi I would have to get a uber /cab home with would be 8-10 pounds . Time I have paid for the uber would it be worth doing?

It depends on what you buy. I find certain items - tea, coffee, greek yoghurt and suncream all to be significantly cheaper than tesco but many things are the same.

Morrisons is currently one of the most expensive supermarkets, have you tried other ones like Tesco or Sainsbury's?

No not yet . I used to use asda. But they were awful and switched to morrisons. I did Try tesco in the past but that was years ago .

Depends what you buy. Can you alternate and stock up on cheaper items?

I either shop at Tesco online home delivery, or Asda. Every few months I put the items on my Asda receipt into the Tesco website to compare prices for the overall shop. Tesco is often cheaper (with Clubcard prices), and rarely more than £10 more expensive. I don't buy milk
