A bleeping worm!!
Dd is now refusing to sleep in her room. I've removed it but still WTH!

How would it even get up the stairs 😂

Guessing no one else has experienced this then 😂

As a dc our dcat used to bring worms in... And talk to them very loudly on the draining board!!

ItsADiamond · 19/05/2024 14:58

Ah, that's kind of sweet.
No cats here though so wormy has made his own way in!

No idea, but I found a snail in my hall.

Whilst it is extremely difficult to tell one end of a worm from another, I guess that the 'bleeping' sound was the worm reversing?

Preggers101 · 19/05/2024 16:07

Maybe you had some laundry drying in the garden, and the worm got into the clothes basket and then upstairs? Or snuck itself onto something else that was brought upstairs?

That does seem like the most likely possibility. I take the wash basket upstairs but usually think I'd notice if a worm was stuck on it.

I found a snail in the living room once, just above the full length curtains and did wonder how it had got there. Now, I couldn't reach to move it and it was there for a while, never moving, and wondered what it was doing there? Realised it was totally dead - and empty (!) - when finally did take it down 🤢😂

God, this will be totally outing, but, my daughter once awoke and realised there was a mouse in bed with her. Dead. She had clearly squashed it in her sleep 😐

AlltheFs · 23/05/2024 12:36

Are you sure it didn’t get in via the roof? Bastard birds leave us all sorts of gifts….

Whatwaswrongwiththatusername · 23/05/2024 12:37

Oh, not all my replies will end with some creature or another being dead...honest.

ItsADiamond · 23/05/2024 15:03

Not just me then!
Gosh @Whatwaswrongwiththatusername I hope your dd wasn't too traumatized by that!

The bird theory is a possibility as we get many on our roof. So how would it get from the roof? Through the attic? 🤢

Well, I know it was a bit of a sore subject for a while. If I recall, I think the mouse turned up in their flat, so I don't think it was the first time of "meeting" it. Obviously felt bad about squashing it. It's a few years on now, but can't imagine she'd like it brought up again now! No idea how it got in there. Do they climb stairs? Or walls? I've no idea! It was upstairs on the first floor of renovated old pub.
