There is a fucking rat in my garden

Obviously you can't burn down a garden...or can you?

What should I do? The fucker just looked at me and then scuttled through my garden to the neighbours. The neighbour has foxes and that is bad enough but now rats I'm horrified.

I'm not being an arse but I'm not an animal lover at all. I'm not evil or anything just not fond. Rats freak me out just like spiders do and jellyfish and many more.

Edited

Get a fucking grip

I don't mind rats in the garden but rats engaging in coitus in flagrante delicto is a bit much.

🤣

pizzaHeart · 18/05/2024 22:56

My sympathies OP. I wouldn’t burn the garden but would barricade the door at least for tonight.
Hope you screamed as loud as possible when you saw it to scare the rat off, it’s my usual tactic with any uninvited animals.

I mistook the title, I thought the op had seen a rat fucking in her garden.

😆😆

I feel your pain - DH said he saw one "the size of a small dog" on the peanut feeder. Have removed all feeders, the birds are not happy. Garden is shared and neighbour has massive dog but dog crap is apparently a food source...

Watching to see what happens, don't want to encourage them but wary of poison...

AffIt · 20/05/2024 13:40

As per PPs - chickens are absolute bastards.

I don't wish them any ill will, but having seen them in action, I wouldn't want to spend any more time with them than is completely necessary.

Ducks, on the other hand (wing?), are BRILLIANT.

Get a cat? Mine is very good at keeping the local mice population down.
