Do lots of your family members tend to have the same job/career?

It tends to be teaching in my family including me, my sibling, several cousins and in-laws. I have lots of teacher and TA friends too. I wish we had a doctor in the family but we don’t have anyone in medicine at all!

Pretty varied here although engineer is the most common.

Spread over all types of things- emergency services, medicine, construction, retail, finance, teachers, armed forces, sciences and one baker.
However until my parents generation very few had any kind of social mobility or chances at higher education so almost defaulted to manual/low paid work.

I've noticed a couple of cousins in more academic positions have ended up marrying partners in the same job. Maybe it's just proximity as they tend to be fairly consumed by work.

Personally, I wouldn't expect my dc to follow me or dh in their own careers. Genuinely hope 9yo dd achieved her dream of astronaut!

Kind of. One therapist, one nurse and one social worker.
