Bluelight card or boundless card

I work for the NHS and have heard about people talking about both the Bluelight Card and the Boundless Card.

I wondered if anyone had an opinion of one being better than the other?

I have two primary/preschool kids, live just outside London so suppose am looking for discounts on days out and general day to day living.

TIA!

Look into what discounts etc are offered against which you would actually use, plus the cost vs saving you’re likely to make.

I’m not eligible for the Blue Light card but am eligible for the Defence Discount Card. Defence Discount was a direct clone as a rebranded Blue Light card when first released
They both have a free option and a paid option.
(I’ve obviously not seen what offers you can see on the Blue Light free area of the website, but on Defence Discount site free members can get discount codes & promotions, so I would guess the same still applies to Blue Light

Blue Light & Defence Discount then offer the cards at £4.99 for two years.
I did use my Defence card originally getting my moneys worth in a couple of months, (KFC around the corner from the office then), but I no longer do so gave it up

Boundless is £40 or £68 per year - it’s not worth it if you don’t use those specific benefits and is if you do

Consider whether you need the specific scheme, they are primarily subscription schemes - people sign up and businesses participate in schemes as a method of advertising
Some businesses will just offer a discount anyway - eg giving a ‘blue light’ discount to emergency services as opposed to just members of the Blue light scheme.
You just need to be wearing the uniform or have your staff ID card (or just ask and get granted)

Bluelight Card is worth it for a variety of things in my opinion. Restaurants often have good discounts, although check whether it is just midweek, but also some discounts on things such as selected Apple products and some online shopping.

I used an enhanced 25% off from Adidas for my step son recently for example and we've used various discounts for places such as Bills and Beefeater for meals out.
