Worst case of PMT in a long time - what helps?

I haven't been this bad in years. Currently I just want everyone to STFU but I have a 6-y.o. who is incessantly talking, doesn't leave me alone for longer than 4mins, a stressed-by-exams teen and even my pets seem excessively loud today.

I gave up alcohol 8 weeks ago, so none in the house. I cannot go to sleep yet because I'm a single parent and won't sleep until the kids do.

What helps, and fast?

My Dr told me to-

Drink lots of water
Eat healthy food during this time (limit sugar!)
Do something which makes your heart pump

I followed this and it made such a difference to my mood. The months I did not follow, I was back to square one.

I am normally exercising (haven't been able to the last 2 days though) and my diet is generally healthy.

I do have a cup of herbal tea brewing, but I need other short-term solutions.

Cheese and lots of water/juice.

How old are you?

Magnesium, taurine, vitamin B can help.

38

My mother started meno at around 42.

I drink energy drinks which apparently have a lot of taurine and vit B in them.

The tea helped a bit. Chocolate, too.

I used to take codeine to calm down my PMS, don't recommend that obviously as it's addictive but a couple of Nurofen plus/cocodamol chilled me out enough to not kill people and it was only a few days a month.
Now I'm on the pill and my PMS isn't anywhere near as bad.

When I started peri my PMT ramped up, not every cycle but sometimes it was hell.

Part of mine is chronic mastalgia so I absolutely know it was hormones off the scale at times.
