All my ligaments are very clicky, are yours?

I'm mid 50s and I've started stretching in the last 6 months. Even doing basic arm circles, I can hear what feels like connective tissue making movement noises. When I roll my feet in a circle it's the same. Is this a normal thing for my age? Will it stop if I stretch a lot?

So apparently it’s normal due to air popping etc. BUT, since I’ve started lifting weights 6 months and building muscle they hardly ever click. Problem areas like my neck and shoulders used to click a lot but no more and the pain I used to suffer from has gone. Life changing. I’m nearly 40 btw.

it's usually not something to worry about. I am in my early 30s and do yoga, pilates and tai chi, and I click all the time.

Joints are formed where the ends of bones meet together. They are surrounded by a joint capsule filled with synovial fluid. When bones move upon one another, they produce joint movements that are assisted by the synovial fluid that keeps the joints lubricated.

When joints are not moved enough and stay in the same position for a long period of time, they can become stiff and develop increased pressure within. Once the joints are finally moved, the pressure is released and can produce audible popping or cracking sounds.._1

Yes my knees and ankles have always been very clicky, I have hypermobility in some joints. My ankles click quite noticeably when I am walking sometimes, this even happened at school so it's just normal to me.
