I just tried my first white chocolate digestive

I’ll be honest, as a biscuit lover I felt strange at the checkout with my pack of white choc digestives. Something about it just didn’t feel right.

However, I can confirm that they are nice. Very nice. Also nice dunked, which is major to me.

Whilst they’re definitely not up there in my top 5, I will no longer judge them and give them the side eye down the biccy isle.

Any other biccy lovers on here? Open to recommendations (must be dunkable).

We had some at work last week and I was suitably impressed.

ILikePistachios · 09/05/2024 21:11

I thought they were too sweet for my taste. DS absolutely loved them which is annoying because they're so expensive.

More of a Hobnop person myself or a custard cream

FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain · 09/05/2024 21:13

They work really well broken up and made into Tiffin or Rocky Road instead of just using plain digestives.

PassMeTheCookies · 09/05/2024 21:13

My friend and I demolished a full pack in less than five minutes. They're delightful.

Craftycorvid · 09/05/2024 21:15

Hm, no from me, I’m afraid. Love white chocolate…and digestives….but together? It’s got to be milk chocolate for a digestive.

Cudz · 09/05/2024 21:27

Has anyone tried the caramel digestives? They're as addictive as crack. I ate the whole packet in one go!

FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain · 09/05/2024 21:32

Just gonna leave this recipe here, with a warning that it's basically a sugar crash in a tin. Made it the other week for DDs school bake sale and it went down very very well

Interesting. Haven't seen them!

BlindBat · 09/05/2024 21:36

Oooh I'm intrigued, love white chocolate and also a plain digestive. I'll keep an eye out, enjoying this thread

EffortlesslyInelegant · 09/05/2024 21:43

Are they terribly sweet? I find white chocolate almost inedible because of this and I wish it wasn't so because I do like it.

Geppili · 09/05/2024 21:48

The caramel digestives should be banned. They are so so good!

Comedycook · 09/05/2024 21:49

Yes I love the white chocolate ones...I've stopped buying them!

ThreeEggOmlette · 09/05/2024 21:51

Just had a Galaxy digestive.

I think I expected too much.

Negligible difference from a normal digestive when dunked.

Cerialkiller · 09/05/2024 21:55

Agree re caramel digestives. Nearly beat out a chocolate hobknob but not quite. Serving suggestion, two chocolate hobnobs together choc side in. Dunk in tea for 2 seconds only to avoid disintegration. Consume.

Bunbum · 09/05/2024 21:59

@Craftycorvid Have you tried one? If yes, then fair enough. If no, being a white choc lover, please just give it a chance. Life is too short.

I did recently try the M&S chocolate rounds which were a big disappointment. Too much sickly milk chocolate for me.

Very loyal to the dark choc digestive, I often wonder how many i’ve consumed so far.

Rather partial to a malted milk dunked in tea.

Chocolate malted milk are great for dunking and just eating generally really.

I too have done this😁 did the same with the white chocolate ones 😂

mechanicalpencil · 09/05/2024 22:27

Off to the supermarket tomorrow after work!

Cookerhood · 09/05/2024 22:35

When I was a child you used to be able to get Caramac digestives (proper Caramac not the greasy tasteless stuff you get now,). OMG they were good.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 09/05/2024 22:39

I'm against it. I don't consider it a valid variant.
