What kind of child abuse it is?

I hope you can help me understand what kind of child abuse is this in your opinion and how severe it is:

A mother took her 4-5 years old daughter to another country, away from the family for around 2-3 months. While being there, the mother was working 5-6 days a week for around 8-10hr a day. All that time the daughter was left alone, closed in a room with food and toilet. But no tv, no toys, no people to check on her. The daughter had only a drawing album and pencils. The mother was taking her daughter out for a walk only on her free days, meaning once or twice a week.

It's neglect

Geppili · 09/05/2024 02:09
 • *Physical neglect
A child's basic needs, such as food, clothing or shelter, are not met or they aren't properly supervised or kept safe.

 • *Educational neglect
A parent doesn't ensure their child is given an education.

 • *Emotional neglect
A child doesn't get the nurture and stimulation they need. This could be through ignoring, humiliating, intimidating or isolating them.

 • *Medical neglect
A child isn't given proper health care. This includes dental care and refusing or ignoring medical recommendations.

Neglect

It's neglect. Were they fleeing a war zone, starving and it was the only way? Unless it was the only way to survive, it's very severe.

Severe neglect. That's awful.

No, they weren't fleeing a war zone, it was far away from the only way to survive.

The "reasonable" excuse to do it, in the parents' eyes was that there was nobody else to stay with the daughter. The mother had to work "hard" and couldn't stay home all day to be a mother. All relatives including the father knew about it.

So they have all colluded in neglect then. Poor child.
