Mid Sussex Areas

Hi, we're thinking of moving to Mid Sussex but are unsure about which areas would be best to look at. We're open to villages outside the towns as long as they aren't too rural.

Thanks.

A lot will depend on your situation and what you're looking for. Do you need to commute for work? Have you got DCs (and how old?) What sort of budget do you have and what sort of property do you want? I've lived in Mid Sussex for 40 years more or less so have a pretty good idea.
Give some more ideas and I will see if I can help!

There so many lovely places in mid sussex. Have a look at lindfield & cuckfield. Not far from Haywards Heath

Do you need good school, easy access to a train station, near shops etc?

@YorkNew @livingonaprairie

we plan to move there too from East Sussex.
so far have explored lindfield and cuckfield, steyning and love them all. . We’re after a village/town with some shops, bus route, cafe, pub, nice walks etc doesn’t have to have a station nearby as we drive. Children are adult now so no school needed. Prefer not to have too many new build developments and we like character properties. Any suggestions? We have these places on our list to look at. Hurslpier point, petworth , billingshurst, henfiekd. Can be on borders of East Sussex.thanks

Have you looked in Hassocks and Hurstpierpoint? They are both gorgeous villages
