Transition from toxic workplace to new one

I've got 9 days to get my head and heart straight.
Took all my belongings last week.
This week doing long awaited chores to set myself up to have less stress when I start.
Couple of new tops in the sale for a fresh start.
I'm nervous though as my last job started with me keeping my esteem up from my previous good job I had to leave as it was too many hours.
Mentally I feel relief to be away from the nastiness.
Any tips to go in head held high next week.
I'm a bit nervous of history repeating it self.

Remember that it's in their interest for you to succeed, they've spent a lot of time and money to recruit you, and they don't expect you to be up to speed immediately. No-one usually applies for jobs they can easily do, they go for something new that's a challenge. If you need more training or background, ask.

True muggleme.
If they don't want to show me their ways
it will take longer to settle in.
I think that was part of my last issue.
Not shown much and zero onboarding.

I too have had a couple of really toxic work environments so can totally sympathise.

First, I'd write down what went wrong in the last job. What would've make things easier for you? Appreciate it wasn't a nice place to work, but is there anything you could've done differently?

I find onboarding experiences can vary wildly, some places I've worked have been much better than others, even though once I'd settled in everything was usually fine. When you do start the new job, don't be afraid to ask for things e.g. shadowing, asking someone to sit in on a couple of your first meetings/calls etc. All depends on the nature of the job obviously. It's in their interests for you to settle in quickly and hit the ground running, so really don't be afraid to ask for whatever you need.

And if you have some time off between jobs, definitely do something lovely for yourself over the next few days. Visit a spa, go for a lovely country walk, take yourself out for a nice lunch, just something that will make you feel good and give you a boost.
