6 tiny pigs in blankets, not cooked, frozen Dec 2022. Would you bin?

I’d bin. Not worth any risk for such a small quantity.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 06/05/2024 12:30

I would bin them.

I'd cook them and eat them. Maybe in cassoulet in case they've dried out a bit.

If they were frozen within date, just the quality might have diminished. I wouldn't rely on them for a main meal, but I would cook from frozen rather than defrost them. They might be fine, or taste freezer burnt. Worth throwing in the oven / airfryer alongside something else to see.

What risk? They've been in the freezer so will be safe to eat pretty much forever more. They've found things dropped by Antarctic explorers a century ago that are still safe to eat.

I had some as mini sausage and bacon butties a week or two ago that had been in the freezer since I have no idea but were fine with no ill effects.

Thanks for the replies. They are defrosting with other sausages much more recently frozen. I might bin them. They were in the freezer list, but I’d ignored them too long.
