Do you miss cuddles from your older kids

My oldest is nearly 11, and physically flinches now and does not want cuddles from her mum or dad when you go in for a hug. The middle one is 8 and still likes a cuddle (for now). The youngest, nearly 4, is snuggling into me right now. I'm watching trash TV with him though to make it happen 😂.

Now I see that it's time limited, I make the most of it, but when it stops, do you miss it? Or does the fun of having a more balanced grown relationship with them take its place?

Funnily enough, I was only thinking about this today. My two (aged 13yrs and 15yrs) no longer enjoy cuddles, which I am really sad about. I loved those days of endless cuddles, but I respect their feelings and the fact they are growing up (sniff sniff!).

My 17 yo DD sat on my knee before for a cuddle. It did drop off a bit for a while but now super cuddly and will often ask for a hug.

Well mine are 21 and 24 and both Still like a cuddle. Especially my littlest baby (over 6 feet tall) who will still hold my hand or link arms with me when we are out
