Hayfever injection... help!

I suffer from awful hayfever which no meds can touch. I usually just suffer during June and July and then it goes away. However my daughter is having an outdoor wedding at the end of May so I have booked a Kenalog injection.... now I'm being shown stories online of scaring etc which is worrying. Does anyone have any experience of these injections? I just want to enjoy the wedding being able to wear makeup and without a box of tissues.....Thank you!

I thought it was banned for use as hayfever treatment in UK.

I had it in London last year. So many private clinics offer it. It’s not banned at all. But it was removed from the NHS.

Works wonders for me. But you are suppressing your immune system so really think about the risk vs reward.

My DH had the hayfever injection a couple of years ago and he was so so unwell for about 8 weeks afterwards, he caught every illness going, he was constantly exhausted (falling asleep everywhere) itchy, headaches etc. I definitely wouldn't recommend it but I know some people get on fine with it. It did stop his hayfever though.

Kenalog isn't recommended for hayfever. You could seek immunotherapy but it's not a quick fix (2-3 year treatment).
Are itchy eyes your main issue? Sodium cromoglicate eye drops and nasal rinsing have been a game changer for teen DS (better than fexofenadine)
