Hi travelling from Leicester to Marylebone for eye surgery at Moorfields.
im disabled so struggled with stairs and escalators are impossible for me. Is Marylebone accessible by car or if train/tube are the stations easier to navigate?

Hi thank you all for the advice really appreciate it.
one last sense check - if we were to drive down as close as we can easily park in London then Uber in the rest where would be a sensible option - looked at Brent Cross if we parked there then Ubered in it would be £32 each Uber- any better alternatives to Brent Cross or is that our best bet?
many thanks for your help :)

the marriot Hotel regents park has parking with daily rates (and its outside the congestion zone). much closer to both hospitals so that's definitely the better option than Brent Cross. uber will be much cheaper from there

You can register a blue badge with a nominated car registration and then be exempt from the congestion charge (one off fee of ?£10 to register.

Just get a black cab from the station - it’s super easy and feels like a treat! It’s what I now do as I too have a neurological condition which restricts my mobility.

Not sure you can register for blue badge exemption for Ulez, /congestion zone in time, but it may be worth paying, because Old street is in Islington and you can park for free with a blue badge. Moorfields hospital itself has four disabled bays but very pot luck in getting one. The closer you get to Moorfields the more difficult finding parking unless you can lurk, is.
https://www.islington.gov.uk/parking/where-to-park/parking-for-disabled-people-and-blue-badges/where-blue-badge-holders-can-park-in-islington#guide-content

So strongly advise you give yourself a huge time margin if you decide to look for parking, just for the stress factor, but look up Eagle wharf road and look all the way up that stretch on the side roads, from Moorfields. You will find somewhere and black cabs aplenty should you need one.

Or Finsbury Square NCP (within a mile for Moorfields) is £36 from 7.00 am to 8pm on a weekday.

Or Barbican car park also less than a mile is £40 from 7.00 to 8.00 but you need to make an account and advance reserve.

Must pay ULEZ and Congestion charge same day, or you get fined.

I don't think you would be allowed to take the tube afterwards anyways because of the dust, that's what they told me after laser eye treatment.

Definitely Uber, they've been very good when I was impaired from a shoulder surgery. Also make sure you're going to turn correct moor fields on old street, there's the old brick building and also a newer one for private things.
