Nope

Justinthebath · 22/04/2024 18:54

Please don't, outside chance there may be Listeria bugs in there - bad for you, bad for baby.

hedgehoglurker · 22/04/2024 18:54

I would if it smelt, looked and a little sample tasted ok.

Best before isn't the same as Use By.

hedgehoglurker · 22/04/2024 18:55

It's a heat treated carton, so Listeria wouldn't concern me. (Not a microbiologist though.)

BrieHugger · 22/04/2024 18:57

Pregnant - probably not.
Unpregnant - yes if it tasted fine.
What do the ingredients say? It won’t have fresh milk in it so it’s unlikely it’ll be off off. I don’t think I’d risk it if I were you, just in case.

Noseyoldcow · 22/04/2024 19:00

We often eat out of date stuff. But if I were pregnant I wouldn't chance it. Having said that, I ate all the stuff you're not supposed to eat these days during pregnancy - pate, blue cheese, liver, rare steak, you name it - with no ill effects. But I wouldn't now.

patchworkpal · 22/04/2024 19:01

Not if you're pregnant

TenThousandSpoons · 22/04/2024 19:03

Nope

Bollingerforbreakfast · 22/04/2024 19:06

I came on to say yes but then I saw you're pregnant. It's a no from me

ghostbusters · 22/04/2024 19:11

I wouldn't if pregnant.
Wouldn't think twice if not pregnant, I'd have eaten it before noticing the BBE date.

FKAT · 22/04/2024 19:13

I wouldn't and I'm quite cavalier. Definitely not if you're pregnant.

Amylon · 22/04/2024 19:14

Okay thanks all. I thought that might be the case. I’d probably have given it a go normally. Now to decide - fruit crumble on its own or do I send DH to the co-op!
