Planning to book this in August & wondering where is good to sit in this particular theatre? There are seats available on the front 2 rows of the stalls but they’re not the most expensive.

Have a look at the website seatplan.com you can see photos of the view and reviews of seats .

Front row of the lower circle. Though we saw it in the back row of the lower circle and that was pretty OK too.

RabbitsRock · 20/04/2024 23:19

Nightblindness amazingly, you pay £27 more to be in the 2nd to back row of the lower circle! They only have premium tickets in the front row.

I sat in row E in the stalls, it was excellent. I would have sat nearer the front, the stage is quite low. I like to be close to the front to see their faces as well as possible and my eyesight is not amazing. But it is quite a small theatre.

user1471548941 · 20/04/2024 23:25

I have seen it from the second row of the stalls, I could see every expression on the actors faces and sobbed my heart out when they performed A Little Fall of Rain right in front of me.

Do it!!!

scruffydogstinks that’s really helpful thank you ☺️

user1471548941 on the date we want to go, there are seats right in the middle of Row B of the stalls so I’m going to book them tomorrow. So excited already!

I want to see this. Just so expensive when you include the train and hotel.

Noyok · 20/04/2024 23:52

We were in the circle and it was brilliant. My only moan is that he seats are very small and not enough knee room . The show is absolutely beyond amazing!

MarjorieDanvers · 21/04/2024 00:22

Save your money - it’s terrible! we couldn’t wait for the interval so we could leave! The West End has so much better on offer!

DuckDuckGoosieGander · 21/04/2024 00:26

We've sat in front row of the stalls twice now and had the most amazing views and plenty of legroom. I'd also recommend looking at seatplan for seat reviews.

TheTorturedPoetsDept · 21/04/2024 00:28

How much are tickets?

RabbitsRock · 22/04/2024 15:02

TheTorturedPoetsDept on the official theatre website they start at £72.50. Where we want to sit it’s £99.50.

I was looking on the Delfontmackintosh site - prices vary on other sites.

I wondered about the volume as it has gunfire etc? Might be too noisy in the stalls?

OP posts:
RabbitsRock · 22/04/2024 15:34

MajorieDanvers why was it so bad?

downsizedilemma · 22/04/2024 15:41

We were in the Grand Circle so quite high up but it was still bloody brilliant. I'd go again in a heartbeat. Enjoy!

BeaRF75 · 22/04/2024 15:49

Everyone has different preferences. I hate the stalls in a theatre because you have to look up at a weird angle all the time, and you miss "the bigger picture".
Always front of the Dress Circle for me, and preferably fairly central too.

Bramshott · 22/04/2024 15:51

I am too tight to pay more than £50 a ticket, even for the West End, so in your shoes I'd go for the back couple of rows of the stalls at £47.50.

Lemevoir · 22/04/2024 16:06

Front row stalls is amazing. You can see the expressions on the actor's faces, and even smell and feel things happening at certain times (relating to candles and flags).

If you sit centrally you may even be lucky enough to pick up something that is thrown from the stage across the orchestra pit.

But, for a 'whole view' of the stage then near the front of the dress circle can't be beaten.

Tarkan · 22/04/2024 16:31

We went just as it reopened in January 2020 (I think we were there on the press night or something similar, not one with all the celebs but with critics etc there). We were a couple of rows back in the dress circle and had a great view, found a pic I took from my seat which I'm adding in if it helps. It was a great show and we had a brilliant time.

I can get Row E of the dress circle, right in the middle, for £110 each. DH would prefer to get a whole view of the stage rather than be at the front of the stalls.

This is a great website which I always use to pick the best seating option.

Les miserables is a fantastic show which I've seen over 20 times. Row E dress circle sounds great. Hope you enjoy! 😊

I always book directly with the theatre where it's showing

Wishlist99 · 23/04/2024 16:58

Fantastic show, I really like the most recent tweaks they’ve made. We had a great view in the first tier (circle). I never really like the stalls.
