Does this look like chickenpox?

DD has a few of these spots (now about 8) on her back, neck, and legs. Some of them are itchy. They fill with liquid and then scab. The first one appeared 2 days ago but they haven't increased significantly since. No fever or other signs of being unwell.

Looks more like molloscum to me. They spread to other areas via the liquid in the blisters. They can take an age to go away.

It looks like it to me. As we all know more often than not chicken pox doesn't come with a fever

Cat flea bites can look quite like chicken pox

How do you treat molluscum @fedupandstuck?

I'd say chickenpox

You can get topical treatments like Molludab which can work. The virus avoids attack from the immune system whilst in the spots, so some people will suggest opening the blisters to force the body to heal them. But the danger there is them spreading to other areas or other people via the liquid in the blisters.

How is your little one doing today.

I think it looks like chicken pox.

Molluscum was normal skin colour and not itchy when mine had it. I was advised that they keep it covered to avoid spreading from skin on skin contact (wearing rash vest when swimming) but it didn't need any treatment. After about a year it went away again.

I'd put a month's wages on it being chicken pox. Molloscum doesn't scab, neither does it itch. Or it didn't in our case anyway.
