Social housing exchange

Any general tips on social housing exchange?

On the tenancy it says flat is 2nd floor if you go in from the front it is. But if you go in from the back/carpark it's more like 3rd floor. There's also no lift. So I don't think that's helping .

Also would it be an idea to paint everything white or a cream .

It's was built in the 1930s and definitely looks tired. How could we cheer it up on a budget?

Hmm to be realistic I guess, are you hoping to swap for a ground floor/garden?

If that happen that's great . But no . It's for dd she's put any typo of property if above 2nd floor needs lift .

when we received it, they said we had to accept it, otherwise we would end up on the street. I already said there is no dining room and living room. We are a couple with a child. As it turned out, the 2-bedroom only has a living room, so there is no dining room now because the child sleeps there and the rent is £936. I want to move out to a private house because my husband became blind in the meantime and the 42 square meters is small.

I think you have misunderstood my question/situation. I hope you get sorted though

I don't really understand your situation either.

Have you just moved into this property and want to do it up to live in?

Or are you trying to swap it as you went to leave?

I find your posts very hard to understand.

Apologies for confusion. My title on my op dues say . Social housing exchange.

Trying to swap . Asking if it's a good idea to do it up so it looks nicer . Should we just paint all the walls white to make it feel fresh . How can we make it look less tired than it does

If you can afford it a fresh coat of paint would probably be a good idea, similar to selling a property, you can stage it to make it look its best, so declutter and paint in neutral colours, sort any outstanding repairs etc
