Oh blinkin' 'ell sweetsong, I feel extremely depressed now. Am 35 (have I just admitted that over the wide-world-web??). But obviously only look 18.

I was too young to be confused but I remember picking up a book to buy marked at 2/6 and not being sure whether it was cheaper or more expensive than the one marked at 12.5p ... a children's book, I hasten to add ...
