Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for amusement/theme/farm/water parks with accommodation onsite (within walking distance of the attraction)?

Sacrewell farm just off the A1 near Peterborough is lovely, probably suits kids under 8 best. Lots of other things to do nearby too

All of the Merlin ones (Alton Towers, Chessington, Legoland, Thorpe Park).
Paulton's Park doesn't have an onsite hotel, but there is a hotel very close to it that is within walking distance.

Efteling, not in the UK but by far the nicest we've ever been to.

Craig Tara (Haven caravan site in Ayr) has Heads of Ayr next door which is a huge farm activity park thing. You could easily spend a full day or two there and still not be bored with U10s. We went a few hours before closing on our last day at Craig Tara and raced round absolutely dismayed that we had misjudged how big it was.

Gulivers (I think there are 4 in total). We stayed last year at the one near Rotherham (Gullivers World I think). My kids were 4 & 6. They loved it. The themed accommodation was great.

Go abroad, we find it easier to travel on the continent because it's less busy on the roads.

Get a ferry and go to efteling.

I wouldn't touch alton towers on site accmd with a barge pole, look at the pics and read the reviews.

My daughter's booked to go to stay at Folly Farm near Tenby. We used to take her when she was little, but it now has a zoo and accommodation, and looks amazing
