Which period tracker app do you use?

I've been using the My Calender period tracker app but it's just not working for me, plus the ads are really annoying!

I've just been looking for a different one but the ad free ones all seem to be subscription based. I'm happy to pay a one off fee but absolutely resent paying monthly/yearly 🤬

I can't use my phone calendar as currently have my work rota, husbands work rota and family events so it's too busy already!

I just use my iPhone health app, the cycle tracking section. You can add symptoms throughout the month if that's something you're tracking, or just add your period days. It also predicts the next one.

I use Flo

WonkyBricks · 16/04/2024 22:05

I don't have an iPhone.

Can you pay a one off amount for Flo?

Clue (the free version). It's OK. I'm strictly android.

FakeMiddleton · 16/04/2024 22:06

@WonkyBricks - there's a free version and then you can do premium. Pretty sure they do occasionally offers for a lump sum
For the premium.

AverageJoan · 16/04/2024 22:09

I use Flo too, I went with the pay yearly option but haven't been using it that long yet. Though so far I do think it's better/more insightful than Apple Health or the tracker on my Garmin

mlc0 · 16/04/2024 22:10

Flo

JoleneTookHerMan · 16/04/2024 22:16

I have always used 'my days'. Its always been very accurate for me.

twoandcooplease · 16/04/2024 22:18

Flo (free)

spottyhotdog · 16/04/2024 22:22

Flo premium

Freesia9 · 16/04/2024 22:30

I use Flo, but notice there's a lot of stuff on sex, orgasms, toys. My DD wants a tracking app, is there something more appropriate for 12yr olds?

Rehab4rightmove · 16/04/2024 22:37

I use Maya (free, predicts cycles)

My teen uses Magic girl.

cheeseandketchupsandwich · 16/04/2024 22:39

I use OC. Used it for ovulation tracking previously but works fine for period tracking too

KeeeeeepDancing · 16/04/2024 22:51

Beware as some of the apps use your data to sell on.
Plus I can't stand the ones that talk about 'your period' and 'people who have periods'.
It's only women and girls who have periods.

CelesteCunningham · 16/04/2024 23:06

The free Clue. I like it, but I literally just track the first day of my period.

BillieEyelash1 · 16/04/2024 23:07

I use clue! I tried glow but couldn’t get on with it, sometimes I use Flo but mostly clue as that’s the one I’ve used for years. Though now you do have to pay for some parts I’ve found it okay still.

RampantIvy · 16/04/2024 23:09

I'm going to sound like the Luddite that I am, but why do you need an app to track your period?

Mine stopped before smartphones were a thing, so please don't flame me for my ignorance.

WLAH · 16/04/2024 23:12

P tracker here

BillieEyelash1 · 16/04/2024 23:12

To be honest @RampantIvy sometimes I’d be so busy that I forgot about it altogether Blush then I’d get a notification and remember to pack pads/tampons/painkillers

To estimate when next period due

MsMajeika · 16/04/2024 23:14

P Tracker. No bells and whistles. Free, no ads.

To know when I'm next due on. Easier to log in my phone than on pen and paper like I used to, and by using an app rather than just my calendar it automatically calculates my cycle length and pops up a notification a few days before it's due.

Gives me info like length of period and cycle so I can spot changes
Tracks symptoms
Can add notes (I have to do an injection every 7-10 days and another once a month so I add it to there)
Tells me when my period is due (v accurately)
Handy for info for GP when they ask first day of your last period
Because it tells me when I am due on, I then know when day 2/3 is - on those days I need to start painkillers before the pain starts and prepare work in case I need to go off sick

I use p tracker

I'd highly recommend the Tempdrop wearable tracker. It's a band which you pop on your arm before bed and it monitors you basal body temp while you sleep so you don't have to remember to take your temp in the morning. The data goes straight to the app on your phone so you can clearly see when you are ovulating and when your fertility window is. It really takes the hard work out of BBT tracking! A tad expensive to buy but you don't have to pay monthly which is good.
