Hi, I want to get one of these in case I ever get trapped in my car. I tried the Acebon Hammer but have small not very strong hands and couldn't operate it.
Does anyone know of one that's easy to operate?

I've got the LifeHammer, fortunately not had to use it, but it seems a decent bit of kit: LifeHammer HB 0110035 Plus Emergency Hammer, Orange : Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools

I have a key ring hammer/seat belt cutter.

It came with a bit of glass to try it out. It was about £5.

I have it with me all the time in case I need it should I be a driver or passenger in another car and there's an accident.

I left my toddler loose climbing around the front seats for two minutes whilst I was unloading shopping for the boot last week.. and she opened the glove box, and used the emergency safety hammer to tap the passenger window, which promptly shattered into a gazillion pieces. So I can now report that even the cheapest car escape hammer can be used effectively with no strength, dexterity or skill.

Oh I'm sorry I laughed at that.

Oh God, I did that. She posted all the parking change into the tape deck (retro car!) and fried the whole audio system. £400 to replace.

Its also helpful to have a couple of those foil blankets, a torch, bottle of water & bar of chocolate.

Thank you so much - what a damn nuisance though!

I really want something tried and tested and yours certainly has been! Could you tell me exactly what it is and where you got it from?
