Things you didn't think would happen today when you woke this morning...

Putting hay out and poo picking the horse track, as I do every morning, accompanied by four of my dogs, all completely normal and uneventful.

Suddenly a massive black shape appears and runs at an amazing speed straight for the dogs, turning one over and (briefly) pinning her to the ground. It took me a moment to realise it was a wild boar - thankfully a female as males have fearsome tusks. She then goes for another dog who has the good sense to scarper, as do I! The dog that was hit is unhurt but very shaken.

We often hear boars snuffling around and have got a bit blasé about sharing our space with them but I'm guessing she had babies with her as normally they run away on the rare occasion we spot them.

Plucking up courage to go and retrieve my wheelbarrow...

Train was delayed four minutes

There was a queue for the life 😲

I found the coffee shop I was looking for!

Cat is having to wear a cone and use a litter tray temporarily. This morning he did his poo in the tray, managed to get some on the cone then laid on my bed. Didn’t need that x

Yesterday:
I had an amazon delivery. The past few have been delivered to my safe space (a shop near me), without anybody knocking on my door first. I waited and watched out my window and kept an eye on the app.
Saw the van, the driver got out and went to my safe space. I shot out and told the chap where my flat was. Got my parcel.
I then decided to go out and do some shopping and in my excitement of actually getting my parcel delivered properly, I forgot my yale key.
1 hour later a neighbour came home so I could borrow his ladder and climb in through my kitchen window.
I've done this 5 times now, I've lived here for 12 years.
My safe shop will now be getting a spare key for those just in case moment's.

Stood in queue at Costco to return something and talking to a real lovely woman in front of me.. a big tall man on his phone comes dashing up to the queue and in between me and the woman.. he bangs her head with a big brush he was carrying and knocks my walking stick from underneath me.. didn't say sorry.. just carried on talking loudly on his phone .
( I'd have been scared of the boar) but the photo of the babies is cute)

I woke up with a sore throat and a husky voice. I now have a full blown runny nosed cold and feel extremely grotty. I wasn't expecting that! I have been very careful about trying not to catch anything as both my DH and I are immuno-compromised, I think I must have caught it at the swimming pool where I go to do the exercise that is meant to keep me well.......
