Fixing-free blackout blinds for rental accommodation?

My DS is in a student flat-share and would like to fit black-out blinds, but he can't drill any holes or leave marks. We've found a couple of fixing-free options online - a Dunelm paper blind that sticks up with tape and a Tommee Tippee portable blind that attaches to the window with suction pads. However, before he orders one, I'm wondering if anyone on here has any recommendations.

Perfect fit blinds could be an option.

I’ve used the paper stick on ones before - got 6 on Amazon for £20 - and they were great.

I’ve used the white ones on their own before and they look ok, but the black ones I’ve hidden behind existing window treatments as the black isn’t to my taste. Good blackout though.

Thanks. We have perfect-fit blinds at home and they're good, but expensive, so not ideal for a short-term rental.

Are there already curtains up? You can attach blackout curtains to existing ones on the hooks.

Yes I was going to ask about curtains too you can get blackout linings in dunelm that go behind the curtains would save having to fit blinds

Easy blackout are good. They do require velcro pads to be stuck to the window frame - I just use a bit in each corner rather than strips around the whole frame as they suggest.

So depends what the frames are made of and whether removing sticky back velcro would damage it? (Hairdryer helps remove without pulling off paint but not if paint is already fragile).

Thanks. I'll suggest it, but they might be more fiddly for him to fit than a blind - he's never hung curtains before.
