Is there any sight on God's earth more pathetic than ...

... a Robovac that's run out of charge and is trying to find its way home?

The feeble wheezy rambling in hopeless wrong directions!

I don't know whether to cuddle it or kick it.

Our Gary is the same, but then if he will venture under the sofa and waste his battery beeping. I love Gary but he's a fair weather friend.

youlied · 13/04/2024 17:42

I have 2 Eufys. The upstairs one is called Cinders, the Downstairs one Prince Charming

LollipopViolet · 13/04/2024 18:08

My Eufy thinks she's thinner than she is like me and likes to try and go under the sofa. Then gets stuck and cries...

She also gets hopelessly lost trying to go home when her battery dies

Bluestoat · 13/04/2024 18:12

Ours is called meryl (sweep) she’s a bit dramatic

PuppySnores · 13/04/2024 18:13

Our Dustin is currently missing his feelers as he's abandoned them somewhere more obscure than usual.

I'm considering sending a couple of kittens out as a search and rescue party.

Chelsea26 · 13/04/2024 19:24

Oh they can be such turds can’t they?

Our Elsie is, I believe, “quiet quitting”. “Your drop sensor's aren’t dirty Elsie, I’ve cleaned them! You’re just a beepy twat!”

I come close to getting rid of her and then she’ll put in a beautiful shift and I forgive her while emptying half a dog from her interior. (Hmmm - Her quiet quitting now makes more sense!)

Ernest however, is an absolute champ and gets a little stroke after every session.

Supersoakers · 13/04/2024 19:40

I once walked in to find Colin having some sort of altercation with a helium giraffe balloon. He’d sucked up the string and then knew something wasn’t quite right and was whizzing round in circles. It was quite a sight. They really are mischievous!

Noseyoldcow · 13/04/2024 19:51

Ours is a basic model that cleans at random, and bumbles about all over the lace. We call him Wally. Because he is one.

Noseyoldcow · 13/04/2024 19:51

He bumbles about all over the place. Not lace....

Must be our Gary's brother, Gary has no idea what he's doing. Bimbles around from room to room leaving them partially done only to start again. He does do a good job though once he's done his hundred rounds and wheezed back to his dock.

I had Victor ( the vacuum) he’s male as he can only do 1 job, I have Vera downstairs who mops and sweeps!

Victor frequently gets stuck under my bed and I do tell him off.

GoodOldEmmaNess · 13/04/2024 20:42

Lolol at Meryl Sweep. And at "You’re just a beepy twat!"

I can't get over the strangeness of thinking I've got a message from a friend/family member and it turns out to be a needy robot wanting a tummy rub. Who knew the future would turn out to be so silly.

My wee Harry gets stuck on in the most ridiculous places, I hate getting the text at work telling me he's stuck and I can't just go and rescue him

BluebellsareBlue · 13/04/2024 20:47

Oh and once my dog had a bad tummy overnight, Harry, who starts his work at 6am got renamed Poover for a while..

LadyRoughDiamond · 13/04/2024 22:59

Out robot lawnmower is similar. Looks like keel over if a leaf gets in the way when he’s limping back to base.

PC20 · 13/04/2024 23:24

We have Zippy who is elderly & needs frequent recharging!

HoneyButterPopcorn · 13/04/2024 23:26

How do they manage corners and under tables and chairs?

KnitFastDieWarm · 13/04/2024 23:32

Geraldine likes to eat laptop wires and gets stuck under the sofa. I love her though - who couldn’t with those eyes? 👀
