DBS nightmare - post office refusing to accept certified copy of marriage certificate?

Is this a thing? I could literally walk in and get a passport/driving license with it! They are saying it has to be the one issued on the day (which is long gone). Enhanced check so they require 3 IDs (passport, driving license and trying to use my marriage certificate!)

@dirtyblond I'm really not going to engage with this anymore.

I don't have the energy to argue with a stranger on the internet about a government requirement for ID for a DBS.

@dirtyblond I am going to politely suggest this is a you problem.

The government creates the ID requirements for DBS's so it may be worthwhile you contacting them to discuss how carrying your ID on a bus makes you feel.

the government has never sneered at me for my perfectly normal, and as far as I am aware, universal feelings about this
