Not a very scientific poll! But just a rough idea. If you are gay, what family position were you born in? If you have a gay sibling or child, what family position were they born in? If you have many gay relatives, please answer for the one you are closest to.

Thank you

“The team collected blood from 142 women”

142 women. You can’t prove something with a sample of 142!

Have reported this thread as you’re blatantly fishing for an article.

My uncle( mum's brother) was the youngest of five and gay.

Bi female - oldest

I think they didn't find a link yet biologically for female sexuality but did find that previous testosterone exposure in the womb from older brothers made you more likely gay (if male)

Lesbian BF, only child
Lesbian cousin eldest of five
Gay cousin youngest of five

I hadn't come across the theory before but as others have posted that it is an actual theory, I'll engage this time.

Male gay cousin - older of 2 brothers.

My uncle was gay and he was the youngest of 3 (boy, girl, boy)
My cousin is gay and he is the youngest of 3(boy, boy, boy)
My friend is gay and he is the third of four (girl, boy, boy, girl)

While I have answered here that I was born second (and I am gay) my older brother is bisexual- so, first and second in my family.

Maybe it harks back to when only the alpha male got to breed with females? You don't want excess males competing for mating access, but you do need them to help guard the group and gather food.
