What age was your child when they first went to a playground?

I'm taking about first born children really I suppose. And taking them there to specifically play in the equipment. (Rather than a tab along to an older child at 4 weeks and staying in the pram etc)

I'm only asking because my friend hasn't ever taken her to the playground behind her house, and their DS is 15months old seems late? Or was I the mad one, I was taking DD4 at around 7-8 months. (Might have been earlier if it wasn't for lockdown and the madness if closing the playground!)

Granted it was more for something to do, and she could only really go on the baby swings and a little go on the sit down roundabout with me. It would fill a good 45 minutes with the walk there, the small play and walk back..

I think about 5 months in a swing?

Even if they are a late walker seems odd they haven’t been this spring/summer? It’s good time killer too!

I think as soon as he could sit up in a swing. We got into a routine for the latter part of my maternity leave of going in the late afternoon when it was quiet. We'd go out somewhere else in the morning, shops, friend's house, baby group then do the park later on our own. That was over the summer so nice and easy (winter baby and back to work in Oct).
