The chase is on tv

Pizza oven heating up, pizza dough rising, DH having well-earned nap, kids finally settled a game to play together, candles and evening lights on. I've just poured a passion fruit Martini, puppy finally (also) napping.

The bread maker is making a racket
The tomato plants need bringing in before going to bed.

On the sofa watching Kiki’s delivery service with DP and his two DD’s and a dog. We’ve just polished off two bags of carrot batons with a pot of humous between us.

It is completely quiet here. The birds have stopped singing in the last 5 minutes. DH went to bed early because 'he has caught the awful cold' that has kept me in bed most of the day (and yesterday) so I expect I will be looking after him tomorrow - only fair because he has been looking after me. No noise from next door. I can't hear any traffic. The owls and foxes haven't started up yet. I haven't heard the deer yet this year.

I will be going to sleep soon - hoping I stay asleep all night!

Pretty quiet here too. I'm an early bedder so already upstairs with the hound of the Baskervilles at my feet noisily chewing on one of her toys.
Planes are going by overhead but most remarkably of all, there's no sign of the boy racers with their backfiring cars.
