If you have two jobs, can you get a tax rebate?

So I have two
Jobs. One is temporary 30hrs but I only get paid term time so each month is a different pay amount. I have a 2nd part time
Job to top up my wage. I pay basic rate (20%) tax on every thing I earn. Is it possible that I could get a rebate if my current main job isn't over the threshold

The threshold isn’t “per job”, it’s for you as a person. You pay tax on any income over the personal allowance.

You should be advised by HMRC how much tax you've paid in total and what you should have paid. Your tax code which tells each employer how much to deduct can be amended every year.

So payslips from both jobs have a tax code of BR? If so you will most likely are due a tax refund. Although you need time and patience for this (long wait times) you need to call HMRC. For some reason they haven’t linked your employments and adjusted your tax code

I have a main job and a smaller, part time role. I take my tax free allowance on my main salary and pay full tax on my part time earnings.

Some years there is a small amount of reconciliation, which I I either take as a cheque, or have as an adjustment in the next years code.

I have two jobs and I tend to get a tax rebate every year. It's not massive just a few hundred. What is your tax code on your main job? if it's something like S1257T then they have allocated all your allowance to one job and the other will be taxed at SBR. HMRC are better than they used to be so you will probably get a letter dividing your allowance between both employers
