Taylor Swift tickets - AXS or Ticketmaster?

I’m desperately trying to get two Taylor Swift tickets for either Cardiff or Wembley. I understand the only places to buy official tickets is AXS or Ticketmaster, both of which I keep checking. But I don’t quite get what the difference is when it comes to resale tickets - if you had bought your tickets via Ticketmaster wouldn’t you resell them via Ticketmaster, and therefore what’s the role of AXS?

Just trying to work out if checking Ticketmaster is fruitless, and whether all resale tickets go on AXS instead?

They are separate ticket selling platforms and both of them the ONLY official place you can buy then so please don’t buy them from anywhere else no matter how desperate you are or how convincing ‘seller’ is.

Keep checking both of them, especially closer to the dates as a lot of people bought multiple dates and will decide which one/ones they’re going to closer to the time. I was lucky enough to get tickets for 2 Wembley dates so sold one pair on ticketmaster and they were sold within literal seconds so you do have to be lucky but keep checking both.

Oh sorry didn’t answer your question. They are just different ticket selling platforms, like buying a can of coke from Tesco or one from the co op. Same item but from different places. I could return my can of coke from Tesco to Tesco but not to co op and vice versa (sorry that’s a stupid example 😅)

Thanks @StoodentNurse, that’s really helpful. Annoyingly I did find two tickets for Cardiff via AXS and got all the way to the payment bit only for my credit card verification app to not work. I then retried but of course they had been snapped up instantly. I was about to pay an insane amount though - more than I can afford really - so I like to think it was Barclaycard helping me out by going ‘bloody hell girl, we’re not going to put that payment through, just think of the size of your mortgage’ 😁

Thanks @MrsBosomworth, I’d never heard of them so have now set up alerts. I’m a bit wary of the reselling sites though, as not sure why someone would use them rather than AXS or Ticketmaster if the tickets are legit?

DO NOT rely on Twickets or Stubhub. The only way to guarantee entry is AXS and Ticketmaster. I have heard a few people saying that Revolut was the key to getting AXS working.

I've used Twickets around 10 times in the last 12 months alone and not had a single problem. As for Stubhub, I avoid it like the plague. It's tout central and I utterly despise ticket touts with a passion.

StoodentNurse · 25/03/2024 20:26

Twickets is really good and I have both sold and purchased tickets off of their but for Taylor, AXS and Ticketmaster are the ONLY place for resale.

StoodentNurse · 25/03/2024 20:28

Also Taylor’s tickets aren’t yet transferable so anyone selling off of ticketmaster or AXS isn’t genuine.

HesterPrincess · 25/03/2024 20:33

I would be very wary of any site other than Ticketmaster or AXS. They're the official selling agents.

I've seen a few tickets come up but you still have to have a code which is frustrating.

Sammysquiz · 25/03/2024 20:45

I don’t think you can transfer your tickets on AXS/Ticketmaster yet, but you can sell them back to the site, i.e you couldn’t sell them to a specific person but can put them up for general sale.

OP posts:
StoodentNurse · 25/03/2024 23:20

Yeah you can put them up for sale but can’t transfer them so all the people on social media selling spare tickets with screenshots of confirmations are scammers

So if I didn’t ever get a code I stand no chance?

My DDs have recently become big fans and I’d love to take them if I can. Am setting their expectations very low as likelihood of tickets at a price I can justify paying is not great

stayathomer · 26/03/2024 10:49

You’re so lucky in the uk- have only ever seen ticketmaster do resale tickets there, not Ireland. I weekly pore over the internet praying Olivia Rodrigo or Coldplay have decided to put on another show 😭

StoodentNurse · 26/03/2024 14:19

@buzzing resale tickets are available for everyone

@stayathomer i literally have tickets for Coldplay in Dublin (I’m in the uk) that I’m waiting to be available to sell because I can’t make it. Is resale not a thing in Ireland 😳 I did message ticketmaster and they said it’s up to the promoter whether tickets are available for resale or not so I’ve been checking every few days

stayathomer · 26/03/2024 15:16

StoodentNurse
Hadn’t seen any and my friends and people on Fb when I asked hadn’t either then I showed them all the ones on the uk site and nobody had ever seen it here😭Everything crossed for you though!

Sammysquiz · 26/03/2024 16:50

@buzzing no resale code on AXS, you just need to be very lucky that the second you’re checking is the same second that someone is selling! I’ve seen a few Wembley tickets come up on there but they were £800 each so out of my price range.

Sorry to bring this topic up again. I’ve gone on ticket master to look for tickets and for Liverpool it puts you in a que but you still need the code. Which I don’t have. Ive heard that anywhere other than Ticketmaster or AXS won’t be accepted at the venue.

Letsgodancing · 06/06/2024 10:02

With other concerts you might be able to use twickets and stubhub, but literally all of Taylor tickets are already sold and I think the venues will be under strict instructions to only accept legit ones, it's a big risk and if tickets are legit they could still deny you entry for not going via proper channels so it's a big risk. I know Liverpool is doing Taylor Town events so even if you can't get tickets, they still have things going on (not the same but still something)
