Thinking about getting one as a family member has been diagnosed with milk allergy and dairy free ice cream is expensive!
anyone got one? Will I use it, or will it end up in the back of the cupboard?
love a kitchen gadget and use breadmaker and instant pot all the time

Well, I haven't got one but I want one....

We just got one and it's fabulous. We also have milk allergies in the family. We have already bought extra tubs to make more ice cream!

I watched someone make flavoured mr whippy in one the other day and now need one. It'd probably be used once a year but I'm ok with that.

Yes - got it a week ago and it’s brilliant. DS made easy no cook raspberry ice cream, and the flavour and texture were amazing. The chocolate and strawberry milkshakes are very good. He has also made sorbet from just tinned fruit.

It’s very easy to use, and all the bits just go in the dishwasher. DS loves using it, so the problem (only a week in) could be using it too often!

I've had mine a year! It's fantastic. I use it all year pretty much, absolutely love it. Just made a strawberry gelato last night to spin tonight!

I love the fact that I can make genuinely low calorie ice cream or ice cream like desserts

Used some Fage last night and mixed in some cherries this morning and it's the most delicious cherry frozen yoghurt and low calorie!

We have one and I love it. My dd loves buying M&S flavoured milks to make ice cream.
It's an amazing machine and so simple to use.

FieldsOfFlours · 11/05/2024 19:19

I use it so much. A tin of peaches or a tin of pineapple make the most delicious sorbets.

Uncooperativefingers · 11/05/2024 19:22

How big is it (foot print size)? I am very tempted, but counter and cupboard space is at a premium...

NeverDropYourMooncup · 11/05/2024 19:25

How often would they have eaten ice cream before the milk allergy was diagnosed? If it's every week, and you're organised enough to put the tubs in the freezer in advance, I reckon that's enough for the purchase.

I'd have bought one when I had the DC at home - but I don't think I would eat enough sorbets and the like now to make it a sensible purchase; I've already got a high powered blender for smoothies with frozen fruit - if I wanted, I could put one of those in the freezer to turn it into frozen yoghurt/sorbet.

I recently bought the deluxe version. Used it a few times now, made some milkshake and sorbet. We are dairy free and so far so good .

Mine lives in the cupboard, and I've got young kids! It's too tall to sit under the wall units and so it's very much out of sight out of mind.
