I love a Thornton's egg with Continental chocolates. You can only get them online now.

What would you choose?

Normally a Lindt egg for me but as I’ve literally just finished a huge box of the balls from Mothers Day I’ve asked for a Minstrels one this year

BettyOBarley · 24/03/2024 22:27

Mini eggs or Daim

HelenaJustina · 24/03/2024 22:27

Dark chocolate from a local independent chocolaterie. Absolutely divine and no one wants to share with me!

Montezumas absolute black. Though waste of money getting an egg, a bar or two is cheaper.

colourblindrainbow · 24/03/2024 22:32

My 2 teens are both desperate for a 1kg bag of mini eggs so they have those. I’ve got a box of Lindt “master chocolatier collection” chocolates I’ve been saving for Easter that I’ll share with them Easter weekend after the lamb.

Diamondglintsonsnow · 24/03/2024 22:33

I love the mini eggs one.

Malteaser bunny! 😋

heavensakes · 24/03/2024 23:17

I'm hopefully getting the hotel chocolat ostrich egg! May or may not share.

MuggedByReality · 24/03/2024 23:20

Mini eggs for me. I am clinically addicted to them.

Crème egg

Do you say it 'crem', out of curiosity? That's what this accent makes it! 🤔

BresciaBike · 25/03/2024 02:12

One from the 90s when they were proper chocolate. They're an expensive pile of disappointment nowadays.

I do. Didn't they used to have the accent anyway?

🤣I only buy the French ones!

CeeJay81 · 25/03/2024 07:19

This year its my birthday, so I'm getting a kitkat caramel collision egg. Caramel and cookie dough in the egg 😋 if dh is lucky he might get a little bit.

People saying it's a waste of money getting an egg - it depends on what you want, surely? Making an egg is more time/ more involved than making a bar, so of course it's more expensive. But I think there's a joy to an Easter egg at this time of year.

I like Chococo - really delicious chocolate and more ethical than most of the big brands, who still have slavery within their production lines. And there's 10% off at the moment (code Easter10).

We've just ordered this one to share. There's also a video on how it's made!

Cadbury Twirl

Grumpynan · 25/03/2024 07:33

Only buy them for the children and grandchildren these days, but DH went to aldi and bought me a white chocolate and cookies bunny because he saw it and thought of me 🥰. It was absolutely the best thing ever, he’s promised to go and get another 🥰🥳

A smarties Easter egg from the 1980's with the sweets in the middle of the egg!

In the mug?

Ooh I'm not sure! I've only ever heard it called a Cadbury's 'cream' egg!

It could have changed since I was a child. These days I'm quicker at eating than reading 😄

LemonySnickets · 25/03/2024 17:52

Galaxy minstrels this year. It's different every year. May end up buying us another 1 each when I'm in work tomorrow.

VanillaImpulse · 25/03/2024 22:09

It's always been "creme" egg with no accent.

I'd like Fresh Minty Eggs to come back, anyone remember those?

TabbyM · 26/03/2024 12:30

A Divine milk chocolate egg please... they only seem to do dark ones now ;(. Other fair-trade and plastic free seasonal chocolate is available but pricier!

wurtle · 26/03/2024 12:34

After eight Easter egg. We didn't see any in Sainsbury's but Dh found me Terrys mint chocolate.
