Good Morning Mumsnet! What are you all up to today?

I'm just finishing my first cuppa of the day, in my kitchen spot, after seeing dd1 out on her way to work. She was starting later but had an email last night asking her to be in by ten, she's picking up a McDonald's breakfast on her way.

We haven't got much planned for the day - me and dd2 are going to watch the Eras Tour movie since we didn't last week, eat popcorn, and decorate sunglasses for our Eras night in June. I want to put up a few more Easter decorations I bought on Friday, and maybe clean the fridge too.

We'll have roast chicken, roast potatoes and some veg for tea & maybe nip to the shop for some sort of dessert for afterwards 😋 I'll probably have a glass or two of wine with mine.

Then it's early showers & prep for the week ahead. And a couple of hours with Murdle or my book, before an early night 💤

Have washed the new bedding I bought and that is drying on the line. Cleaned the kitchen. Have also cleaned all the windows inside as I only anticipate having to have a couple more nights of lighting the fire as the weather looks set to warm up, and the clocks go forward next Sunday which also helps to warm the house up. OH is going shopping. It’s a public holiday here tomorrow, so everything will be shut. Chilli for dinner with crusty bread.

We are doing homework this morning then off for a trip to a nature reserve with the grandparents this afternoon followed by a pub roast on the way home. Looking forward to it!

Have been pottering so far, mainly doomscrolling, drinking coffee, having breakfast, getting dressed etc. Sunday morning stuff. I also decluttered hundreds of useless old photos and screenshots from my phone (thousands more to go though).

DD and I are going to go for a walk in the park (in the rain) and pick up some cat food on the way back. I’ll have a think about dinner and I’m going to look at planning my week and doing some of these 1-day reset ideas I found. Not all of them mind! It’s just to get me started.

I seem to be doing nothing today. Over the previous 4 days I've been to the gym 4 times, out for two meals with friends and deep cleaned 3 sections of the house. I've just made rice and peas with chicken to eat whilst mn'ing.

Morning! Im sat pn the train. Me and DD are having a girls day out. A bit of Shopping and a visit to a cat cafe 😁. Never been before, so looking forward to seeing the Kitties 😸

Good morning all.
I have had a lazy morning as it's my only day off this week. Dh got up in a grump as he has to drive dss1 a very long way for football this morning. Dss2 is screeching at the PlayStation, dd2 is still asleep and dd1 has been up in bed telling me all about the drama at a party last night. About to get up and pot up some Dahlia tubers and then I have a bit of weird plastic fascia to try and remove from around our front door. It's a huge bit of white pvc the previous owners had around the door. We are getting a new door and I can't wait for it to go but it appears to have been stuck on with some thing with otherworldly sticking properties so I'm sort of chiselling away at it whenever I get a spare hour or two. We might take the boys to play shuffleboard this afternoon.

Morning all

We've all been up, showered and dressed since about 9am, beds made, windows opened (and now closed as it's quite cold here!) and it's dh's birthday and he's gone to play football this morning, so me and DDs have got his cake ready for him coming in - he's already opened his presents.

Uniforms are out ready for tomorrow and I cleaned the house yesterday. Me and dd1 are currently having a cuddle on the couch with ddog while DD2 is colouring in. Grass was cut on Friday for the first time this year so I'm hoping to be able to paint the fence over the Easter weekend once the ground dries out more

Had a nice little lie in this morning. DH and I were at the footy yesterday and had a few drinks on our way home. Not hungover but just enjoyed not having to get up early.

I'm now snuggled on the sofa with one of the dogs and a cup of tea just channel surfing for now then I'll watch the F1 at 1 o'clock (I've been avoiding spoilers since I got up).

Got up early, fed and played with dogs, loaded dishwasher (was working last night, so too tired). Had coffee and a hot cross bun.

Now the dogs and I are snoozing, MNetting.

Been ti the gym, had a shower then cleaned and hoovered bedrooms. Got a 2nd wash on and now sat with a 3rd cup of coffee.
Got some M&S waffles for dinner and not sure what we're doing for tea yet as ds1 is at a football match.
Shattered now. Feel like I need a sleep lol 😆

Good morning everyone (just).

I had plans to get up early and blitz the house but have so far sat on the sofa eating toast and drinking tea with no motivation to move.

It’s my mum’s birthday today and the first one without her so I’m going to go easy on myself and not feel guilty for doing nothing.

Both older girls are at work today and dd9 is currently decorating a birthday cake that she wanted to do for her Nan so she’s marked the day somehow.

She has a party this afternoon which I’ll take her to then back home for tea which is shepherds pie. We’ll then have a slice of cake and I’ll have a glass of wine (and try not to drink the whole bottle to drown my sadness).

Tonight it’s homework, showers and early nights ready for work and school tomorrow.

Your DD’s cake-decorating sounds like a really healthy activity. I think it’s such a lovely thing to do.

Have DDs at soft play today with mum friends and DC. DH and dads away to driving range. We will meet up for an early dinner later on at pub along road. It’s a lovely day so I think DCs will play at the little pub park too.

I've had breakfast porridge, fed ddog, dyed my hair and then just listened to music all morning. Watched Ex DP mow the grass. Chicken is in the oven with BBQ sauce, a baked potato and green beans. Might go on FB later, or listen to more music? Smokie, ELO, Icehouse - lovely.

So. Much. Washing.

H made coffee this morning but it feels like an afternoon for more I shall do that shortly.

We had a late lazy brunch with a delightful conversation on what tactics would be taken if you were trapped with no hope of escape in a submarine at the very deepest part of the ocean! Nice...

So washing up, finishing trifle, washing up, cooking roast, washing up.

Afternoon all - been all go here this morning!

Our friends arrived to pick up their kids who have stayed with us this weekend, then ExH arrived to pick up my two.

DP walked the dog, made us bacon, egg and cheese bagels and has now taken DSD to hockey training. DSS is upstairs supposedly doing homework but probably gaming!

I’ve cleaned and tidied the kitchen and got our bed sheets washed and out on the line and then, inspired by all of the above productive posters, have tidied out the coat cupboard in the hall. Bagged up some too small shoes and coats for the charity shop, put the heavy winter ones upstairs in wardrobes (optimistic perhaps?) Woolly hats and gloves are in the wash now and will be put away later.

I’m now having a cup of tea and some Heroes (a thank you gift from above friends) on the sofa but I ~might~ tackle the understairs cupboard In a bit.

DP will drop his two back to their mums later and then we’ve got a bit of a random leftovers dinner planned but sometimes they’re the best ones!
