Good Morning All! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my kitchen spot. Dd1's been down for a brew & just headed back up to get dressed for work so it's semi-peaceful (apart from the washer) now.

There's about 4 wash loads to do, because I was lazy about it towards the end of the week, and yesterday's pots to be done. Dd2's said she'll wash the pots so I'll plough through what washing I can before I head out.

I'm off for afternoon tea with three friends, two of them I haven't seen in ages. And I missed out on afternoon tea last time they went, to celebrate one getting married, because I was really unwell & had just had my first chemo. Very much looking forward to it!

Dd1's working all day, I'm not actually sure what time she finishes at 🤷‍♀️ She'll message when she finds out to let me know.

Dd2 is staying here. She didn't want to do anything much so is going to get her homework done & tidy her pigsty bedroom (or so she says!).

Depending on how tired I am later, I'll either pick up my book or Murdle for a while. I'm stuck on my latest Murdle puzzle but have found that if I put it down for a few days then try again I usually get it. Sometimes I don't understand how though!

I'm currently injured so no Parkrun for me this morning. Volunteered instead.
Am off to the theatre this afternoon and then a bit of a mooch around the shops.
Will be a lazy evening on the sofa as have been sleeping really badly lately.

I have a day to myself today. Daddy has taken all 3 children to visit relatives (no space for me in the hire car - what a pity 😂) i'm just getting the chores finished, then I'll go out for posh cake and expensive coffee and then home to read / nap / have control of the TV.

I don't even have to do dinner for anyone but myself (jacket spud, cheese and coleslaw!!)

Still feeling a bit ruffled after an attempted scam this morning. Came via email and PayPal. Checked with PayPal and not their fault. £90 for laundry detergent, really? Sod off scammers 😡

My American friends are attempting to educate me more on Nixon so I'm watching a documentary later.

Time to spruce up a bit and go to the supermarket as I'm hungry. I think I'm going to make a very unhealthy cheese toastie with tomato and red onion.

I seem to have lost some time somehow! I’ve been busy but not sure how it’s now 12.21! Awake early but didn’t get up til gone 9. DD15’s GF had stayed over. There was drama last night & calm talking to be done this morning. GF even brought me a cup of tea in bed. The calm talking happened but DD is now doing her usual thing of saying stuff to hurt us because she doesn’t like the action we have to take & also because she knows deep down she’s not behaving well. Can’t go into details but it has the potential to be very serious. DH & I will honestly be very relieved when the girls split up. Parenting a teen is so tough!
Had a chat about everything to DH when he came home briefly then I fed the bunnies & let 2 of them out. We have a pair of blackbirds who have been visiting daily - it’s lovely to watch them through the French doors. I think they’re nesting. Debated whether to hang out 2 loads of washing but it keeps going cloudy & may well rain - we have had loads here for months! Tidied the kitchen & loaded the dishwasher, also picked up crap in the lounge. More decluttering on the agenda plus I’ll make another attempt to drop bags off at the Air Ambulance shop - went the other day but there was nowhere to park. Cooking hash browns for brunch & will fry some nice butcher’s bacon to go with it & have another cuppa. Dinner tonight is chicken & gravy pies with double cream mash, carrots & petitpois. We’ll probably end up watching Greys Anatomy but do you lovely lot have any recommendations for series on Netflix? Have a great Saturday everyone ☀️☀️☀️

Afternoon all! We’ve got a full house here, my best friend and her husband came over last night with their two kids and we had an evening of drinking and chatting in the garden room while their and our 4 kids hung out in the house. They’ve now gone off for a date day and night away and will be back to pick up the boys tomorrow.
DS1 has broken his metacarpal so there was no football training drop to do this morning but I had to get up anyway and go for a blood test. Came back and opened Chelsea’s Cafe for bacon, sausage, egg, hash browns, bagels or sandwiches and made everyone their order. Just tidied the kitchen and DP and I are snuggled on the sofa. Some of the kids are off to the park across the road just now and at some point DP needs to walk the dog.

MIL is coming over later and we’re all off to Wagamamas for dinner for DSD’s birthday - I love a cheeky wagas!

My daughter has just gone for her nap, a late one today but we had to persevere with it as jobs to do later on and she will be very difficult when tierd!
Went for Breckfast this morning and a bit of family visiting.
Washing machine has been on non stop pretty much yet somehow there's still so much left. I'm sure there's another family living in my house and leaving the washing for me to do... CF!
Should be doing some tidying now but about to pop the kettle on instead.

Just back from the cinema. Went to see the new Ghostbusters film. It was brilliant and the boys and OH enjoyed it too 🙂
Popped to M&S for some goodies and now curled up on the sofa with a cup of coffee. Hope everyone is having a nice Saturday.
