Yes but I’d swap the beef/lamb stock for chicken stock. Sounds nice!

HirplesWithHaggis · 22/03/2024 17:32

You probably need to reduce the cooking time, chicken will cook faster than lamb and breast meat in particular will go dry.

SpringOfContentment · 22/03/2024 17:33

Yes, but switch the stock, and consider using chicken thighs so it's not too dry.

Definitely chicken thighs - ideally bone in (but take off the skin). Will be lovely. I wouldn’t use breast for this it would likely disintegrate.

I only have chicken breast fillets .

I'm using preasure cooker I could maybe look for a recipe tjat has chicken breast in it. And use the cooking time for the chicken?

Yes it will be fine, reduce the cooking time, and be careful with the spices, chicken will need slightly less than lamb so do mean measures

StedeBonnet · 22/03/2024 17:45

Yes we do this all the time with chicken or lam interchangeably.

StedeBonnet · 22/03/2024 17:45

Lamb

Revelatio · 22/03/2024 17:47

Not with breast, it will be dry and chewy. Thigh would be fine. You could cook it separately and add it at the end if you only have breast. Unless you’re dead set on this recipe, I would look for another one.

It's a braising recipe so best for long and slow cooking of chewy meats. No good at all for chicken breast. I usually do a stir-fry with chicken breast - cut into strips and marinade first. Or you could try breading them to better retain moisture.

I'm using preasure cooking. I'm thinking to cook it how I would a chicken curry.
