I shouldn't have to preface this post by saying I don’t mind swearing generally, but I will…. Swearing doesn’t normally bother me (although there's a time and a place)
Honestly the scripts on Netflix are like they’ve been written by teens in drama class after the teacher has said that they’re allowed to use swear words.
Used well, swearing can add to the program (although I’d argue that not swearing doesn’t make it worse), but on every single Netflix drama it’s as though they have to drop 'fuck' in as often as they can to the point that it begins to interrupt the flow of dialogue. It’s not big, it’s not clever, it’s boring and now takes me out of the drama.
