Agree with @Lanawashington 100%. Bought a cheaper one and hated it, returned and bought this one. It is sad how much I like my ninja air fryer.

We’ve got a Ninja Speedi 10 in 1, it virtually does everything. My adult sons cooks proper meals in it, curries, spag bol, chicken and rice dishes. I mainly use it for grilling fish, burgers, cheese on toast, roast potatoes, wedges.

It depends what you want it for.

If you want it to save money and save yourself turning on the oven 5x a day then what you should buy is different to if you want all in one cooking.

Air fryers themselves are great for stuff like rustling up beige stuff when you don't want to turn the oven on for the third time. But if you want to produce stews for example and have multiple cooking methods such as steaming/pressure cooking as well as air frying then a simple air fryer would not be so good.

Have a look at some of the different things people use them for on youtube. Some of the all in one cooking I find amazing, but the air frying capability alone is not that fantastic in terms of the range of stuff you can cook.

Like @GasPanic I'm underwhelmed by my airfryer experience. As someone living alone I thought it would be ideal to save putting the oven on for a small amount of food. And yes, once a week, or more often once a fortnight, it's useful for that. I can roast a bit of chicken, or do some fast roast new potatoes, or re-heat a pie.

I have a Ninja 300 which is fine, but it's a total pain to get stuff out of the deep drawers.

But it turns out that I just don't eat the kinds of foods that an air fryer is great for. And some of the pictures I've seen of people trying to cook stuff in their airfryer that NEEDS an oven, or that is better done on the hob or slow cooked, are pretty disgusting looking. Why make a four inch square cake instead of a real one? Especially when it doesn't even rise evenly? Loads of things come out unevenly browned, and I seem to have to pay more attention to the air fryer (regularly shaking or turning stuff) than I ever did cooking the same things in the oven.

Yes, it's really handy on the aforementioned occasions, but I don't understand the airfryer obesession, and how anyone can cook for a family in them.
