THC vapes spiked with spice rife in schools...

We have letters warning us that children have been hospitalised due to vaping unknown substances. Other schools all over our town have also had issues and children arrested for dealing or hospitalised. Tonight a 14 year old child from my son's school died from vaping THC spiked with spice and other substances. How can we stop this? I know we can educate our children and talk to them but these vapes are everywhere. The government have been too slow to react to this market.

Spice urine tests can be bought online if you're worried about contaminated cannabis products. If it's any reassurance, I test regularly and have never found evidence of spice.

My daughters school has had an assembly about this so I'm assuming there was evidence for that,

It's not made up. It happened in Plymouth and, as I know the person, I can say that it's all true and has been going on for some time."

So my message gets deleted for saying it was a load of bollocks. Which it is. You know the "dead" kid do you? Really?

Sounds like it may have been made up to get attention from a struggling parent who's child was hospitalised and has been vaping this stuff for a year. It seems to have worked, as definitely got parents and media attention. I not saying I agree with it but I think unless your child has been effected by this stuff it's easy to judge and no doubt people will. It has definitely worked and think parents should be worried as this stuff is dangerous and addictive.

Personally, I'm all for legalization and responsible use of cannabis, but lacing vapes with spice is just reckless. That stuff is unpredictable and can seriously mess you up. Plus, it's not fair to those who just want to enjoy a mellow buzz from their vape or bong for smoking without getting blindsided by something else entirely.

Schools need to step up with better education about drugs beyond just saying "don't do it." Kids are curious, and if they're going to experiment, they should at least know what they're getting into. And as parents, we gotta keep those lines of communication open. It's not about freaking out but making sure they're informed and safe.
