Easter bonnets and all that craft

If you've got a primary aged child are you desperately making Easter Bonnets this week? Our Early Years and infants do, our juniors do boxes cos they're too old for bonnets but seems like most of my friends schools don't bother.

Bonnet parade is next week I think, DD in reception and hasn’t made one before. Any tips?

Ours make their bonnets at school.

Tip: buy a plain one from Poundland and then just decorate it with various easter items.

Oh I'm so jealous. No parade here since COVID and I have four year old twins I'd love to see in their bonnets doing the walk 🤩

Regardless of how it looks, let them help. Our school likes ounces that look like the kids took charge. I've just given my kids pens and stickers and although I have some structure behind it, they loved it and they're individual. Also Poundland is good for bits.

Oh Nuff, I'd be conflicted between FOMO and relief

I remember as a child, my Mum made me one that was just the standard bonnet and she tied a ribbon round it and cut out some pink card floppy rabbit ears and stuck white cotton wool on on one side and attached to the hat. It's probably a really common design but I just remember feeling really proud of it.
